In my ongoing exploration of the rainbow, here is today’s flip cup pour. Initially, as I moved the paint around the vinyl, I was seriously disappointed and couldn’t find an appealing composition. The colors were there, but it seems disjointed. Thankfully, the secret ingredient (silicone) was just waiting to be called upon. I applied heat slowly and carefully, and voila! This may be my favorite of the rainbow pours so far; the colors are a bit more pastel as there was more white used this time, and yet again there are a lot of fascinating things going on. I can imagine myself sitting on a tall blue-green rock looking out over all these forms with so many hues, just feeling delighted and amazed. This is why I paint.
