December vibe

I was really feeling the need to get on the warmer side of the color wheel today so grabbed a used canvas and ended up with this. The gold and red, along with the unexpected green cast, gives this a very ho! ho! ho! feel to me. Not what I was going for, but a fun piece nevertheless!

Postscript: Sadly, this is another used canvas that did not take kindly to a second layer of paint and had to be discarded after it had dried. It’s a good opportunity for me to (yet again) let go, to enjoy each painting for the experience of it but not to hold it too closely, and to look forward to another surprise that will come when I use this color palette again.
