March has brought some gloomy gray weather with a biting breeze more often than I like, yet spring is whispering all around us. This painting takes me back to early fall with crisp air in bright sunshine, leaves changing color, county fairs, and other seasonal treasures. I realize there are plenty of places that don’t have four distinct seasons, but it is one of the many joys for me in the Pacific Northwest that I don’t take for granted.
