Despite a serious attempt at editing, I can’t get a photo that shows up the incredible deep turquoise in this wrecked ring pour. There’s no white or light colors in this one, and it will likely be a bit dark when it dries, but the gold and copper have added nice contrast so I am hopeful that it ends up being a keeper. It’s on a recycled canvas which means there’s no guarantee it will make it to the varnishing process anyway. I’m getting better at letting go of the final outcome, even with paintings that I love….there’s only so much you can control with fluid art, and the sooner one learns to relax about it the more enjoyable the process becomes.
It takes a long time to become young.
