I spent this morning in art lab working on the formulations for this technique, being a big fan of a YouTube artist who is a master at it. It’s not a very forgiving method, and you have to nail the formula, consistency and paint volume spot on to get really good results. This is my first keeper out of four tries today, and I’m thrilled. I was hoping to get a basic tree shape, but can keep working on that. It’s interesting in almost any orientation, but it’s the bordeaux red by Arteza that stops me in my tracks. Delish.
