The doodle leaves above were done on a 5×7, and I’m so glad because I’m tickled pink with them! That size allowed me to mat it for framing. I had no expectations of the painting and (again) was just playing with the idea of a repetitious pattern. As it turned out, it was great wet-on-wet practice, and some of the leaves came out more interesting than I expected. And I always find the earth tones so calming in general.
