The weather outside is frightful! But I’ve been painting away, experimenting, practicing strokes, and starting to see some progress with some techniques….particularly the painting above which felt like a big leap for me in terms of loosening up and understanding water to pigment a bit more. The best part, though, is that I have felt relaxed and able to let go of my own expectations which certainly makes painting much more enjoyable. Below are some other little pieces from the last 10 days or so. In particular, I’ve been enjoying ink-and-wash, as you can see.
