This piece was created with a tree ring method. The paint needs to be at a specific consistency in order to end up with obvious lines and not a messy jumble. The colors are layered carefully into a cup, and then poured onto the canvas, usually with a circular motion. Once poured, the canvas is tilted to compose and remove excess paint.
I was in the mood for reds and pinks so I kept this pour to just 3 colors. I had a lot more paint than I needed; this means I had to pour a lot off and lost some of the (intended) composition. Still, I wasn’t unhappy with the finished product.
If you desire, I can cover the back of the canvas with craft paper, and a sawtooth hanger can also be added at no charge.
